Here is a special challenge to grandparents around the world, regardless of nationality, religion, ethnicity, culture...

The present world situation is a catastrophe in the making. We are living in a time of great crisis… grave danger, but also great opportunities.

If the course of events does not soon change direction, will our grandchildren  ever experience the joy of gazing into the eyes of grandchildren of their own?

We are, collectively, responsible for the immense changes that have taken place over the past 50 to 60 years. These changes evolved during our watch.

No  judgment, guilt, shame or blame… simply responsibility but, with it, also the obligation to act.

We can make a difference. If we don't act, we shall be accountable to future generations for not acting while there was still time.

We have the wisdom, the experience, the energy, the time, the wealth and the influence to make a difference. Even if we cannot save the world, we can help to change its direction. The way to change its direction is to help and, ultimately, create a just society.

Then, a changed world will save itself. 

The love between grandchildren and grandparents is as close as human beings come to the experience of unconditional love. For the sake of that love, we must act!
